Aegean Airlines on Wednesday announced key financial and operating results for the first quarter of 2024, citing revenue of 268.8 million euros, 17% higher than the first quarter of 2023.

In a press release posted on its website, the Aegean group said it offered 10% more seats on its international network, which included 85 direct routes from the country’s two main airports.

It cited 2.9 million passengers in the first quarter, 11% more than the same quarter of 2023, out of which 1.7 million passengers from/to international destinations. Load factor reached 82%, the press release stated. Aegean said its improved EBITDA profit was 33.2 million euros, up from 19.3 million euros in Q3 2023.

The group continues its fleet investment plan, saying seven new aircraft delivered since March 2023, while has also extended operating leases, reaching a fleet of 79 aircraft, thus impacting depreciation cost by 19% compared to Q1-23.
