Partners of a €2 billion undersea cable project between Israel, Greece and Cyprus, known as the Great Sea Interconnector, now have until Friday, Sept. 6, to sort out differences before French multinational Nexans – the lead cable manufacturer in the endeavor – halts work, according to OT.gr.


According to the European City Air Quality Viewer, an online tool using comparative figures to measure air quality across various European cities by collecting information from monitoring stations, the air quality in Athens ranks in the 290th position among 372 European cities examined.


Maria Menounos, a Greek-American TV presenter and social media personality, was named the Ambassador for the region of Attica to promote the area in the United States. Menounos and her husband were received by the Governor of the Attica Region, Nikos Hardalias, in Athens on Tuesday.


The extraordinary general assembly of Attica Bank SA shareholders, as widely expected, gave the ‘green light’ for the latter’s merger with Pancreta Bank S.A, on Tuesday. Athens’ premier English-speaking venue, THEATRE OF THE NO, is set to host a compelling adaptation of Franz Kafka’s short story “Report to an Academy” for only four perfromances on September 3rd, 4th, 10th and 11th. Directed by the acclaimed German theater director,Gabriele Jakobi, the play marks the 100th anniversary of Kafka’s death and features a powerful solo performance by Robert McNamara, a renowned actor-director from Washington, DC.
