The number of job vacancies in Greece for the third quarter 2023 posted a whopping increase by 51.3%, compared with the same quarter of 2022 (36,801 and 24,324, respectively). The third quarter of 2022, moreover, witnessed an increase of 60.8% in comparison with 3Q 2021.
The figures were released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Friday, part of the statistics authority’s survey into job vacancies in the Greek economy for 3Q 2023. The survey excludes the primary sector and households.
In another announcement, ELSTAT said the Production Index in Construction (IPC) in the third quarter 2023 recorded an increase of 8.0% compared with the corresponding quarter 2022. The IPC in third quarter 2022 increased by 20.5% compared with the corresponding index in the 3Q 2021.
The (IPC) in the third quarter 2023 posted a decrease of 3.0% compared with the second quarter 2023.
The seasonally adjusted IPC in the third quarter of 2023 recorded a decrease of 2.4% compared with the second quarter 2023.
