Offer by LeondisPort for Thessaloniki Port Fails to Reach 21%

Α voluntary tender offer by the newly created Netherlands-based LeonidsPort B.V., controlled by members of the Louis-Dreyfus family, to acquire 21% of the Port of Thessaloniki S.A. (OL.Th) with a price of 27 euros per share has concluded without success.

The listed port authority, in an announcement to the Athens Stock Exchange (ATHEX), said LeonidsPort was able to only acquire 260,420 shares, or 2.58% of the total.

The offer commenced on Jan. 13 via ATHEX and aimed to acquire the stake through market purchases and over-the-counter transactions.

The owners of LeonidsPort B.V. are the well-known Louis-Dreyfus family, which is active in France and Switzerland and is led by Russian-Swiss billionaire Margarita Louis-Dreyfus.
