Prices for holiday properties in Greece’s most popular areas continued to rise on average in the first few months of 2024, according to at least one index compiled by a local online real estate service.

Foreign interest in purchasing vacation properties in the east Mediterranean country continued to be dominated by would-be buyers from the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States, based on data provided by the same platform.

The greatest interest, according to the Spitogatos site, centers on the coasts of Attica prefecture, where the greater Athens-Piraeus area is located. This is followed by high interest in certain islands close to the Athens area.

Beyond the Greek capital, on the mainland, remote and rugged eastern Mani in the extreme south of Greece remains a favorite, as does Halkidiki, the popular holiday destination in northern Greece.
