The Greek trade deficit balance, in June 2024 amounted to 2,353.6 billion euros in comparison with 2,610.7 billion euros in June 2023, recording a drop, in euros, of 9.8%, the Greek Statistical Authority ELSTAT reports.

The corresponding value of the Greek trade deficit excluding oil products in June 2024 recorded an increase of 92.8 million euros or 4.4% and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships in June 2024 recorded an increase of 96.9 million euros or 4.7%, in comparison with June 2023.

The total value of imports, in June 2024 amounted to 6,610.3 billion euros in comparison with 6,779.6 billion euros in June 2023, recording a drop, in euros, of 2.5%.

The corresponding value excluding oil products in June 2024 recorded a drop of 139.0 million euros or 2.6% and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships in June 2024 recorded a drop of 159.4 million euros or 3.0%, in comparison with June 2023.

The total value of exports, in June 2024 amounted to 4,256.7 billion euros in comparison with 4,168.9 billion euros in June 2023, recording an increase, in euros, of 2.1%.

The corresponding value excluding oil products recorded a drop of 231.8 million euros or 7.3% in June 2024 and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships in June 2024 recorded a drop of 256.3 million euros or 8.1%, in comparison with June 2023.

The deficit of the trade balance, for the 6 months from January to June 2024 amounted to 16,733.1 billion euros in comparison with 15,143.3 billion euros for the corresponding period of the year 2023, recording an increase, in euros, of 10.5%.

The corresponding deficit excluding oil products recorded an increase of 1,280.9 million euros or 10.5% and the corresponding deficit excluding oil products and ships recorded an increase of 1,201.8 million euros or 9.9%

The total value of imports, for the 6 months from January to June 2024 amounted to 42,031.1 billion euros in comparison with 41,266.7 billion euros for the corresponding period of the year 2023, recording an increase, in euros, of 1.9%.

The total value of exports, over the same period, amounted to 25,298.0 billion euros in comparison with 26,123.4 billion euros for the corresponding period of the year 2023, recording a drop, in euros, of 3.2%.
