The “Blue Horizons” conference, organized by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, will address the challenges and opportunities in Greek Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Fishing Tourism on Feb. 24 and 25 at the Old Olive Mill in Eleusis. This event will tackle the sector’s issues comprehensively, crucial for Greece’s exports and economy.

The conference kicks off on Saturday with Minister Avgenakis’s address, followed by messages from Virginijus Sinkevičius Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of the European Commission for Promoting the European Way of Life, via a video message and other regional agricultural and aquatic leaders.
Discussions will follow including representatives from governmental bodies, fishing and ship-owner associations, academia, and local authorities.
Alongside the conference, a diverse gastronomic program awaits, featuring cooking demonstrations, haute cuisine, traditional recipes, and modern menus, showcasing the best of maritime cuisine in Eleusis.
