ATHEX-listed OPAP S.A., the leading gaming operator in Greece, on Wednesday announced consolidated financial results for 2023, with gross gaming revenues (GGR) posting a record-breaking 2.087 billion euros, compared to 1.939 billion euros in 2022.
The 7.7% yoy increase comes on the back of stable online performance and retail growth, according to a company press release.
GGR for the fourth quarter of 2023 reached 581.2 million euros, an increase of 7.5% yoy, reflecting what the company called a normalization of sportsbook payout after Q3 and positive early signs from the revamp of our draw-based games.
EBITDA in 2023 fell by 0.8% to total 730 million euros, down from 736 million euros, or 744.9 million euros (-0.2% yoy) on a recurring basis.
Net profits in 2023 reached 408.3 million euros, down by 31.1% yoy.
The total dividend paid to shareholders for the fiscal year stands at 1.85 euros per share, with one euro per share paid on an interim basis last November.
