The 10th Delphi Economic Forum kicks off today, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in the historic city of Delphi, marking a full decade of international discourse and high-level exchange. Under the central theme of “Realignments” this year’s forum aims to address the tectonic shifts redefining the global landscape.

Running through Saturday, April 12, the Forum will serve as a hub for in-depth conversations regarding Security and Defense, Innovation, the Single Market, the Green Transition, and the evolving dynamics in relations with the United States, Russia, and China. Alongside these global themes, there will also be a deep dive into the future of the Greek economy and its high-potential sectors such as shipping, tourism, digital technologies, and energy.

With over 1,000 speakers representing 70 countries, the Delphi Economic Forum continues to solidify its role as a truly global institution. This year’s program features more than 200 panel discussions across 35 thematic tracks, drawing participation from high-ranking government officials, senior executives of international organizations, renowned academics, and leading figures from the business world.

Notable speakers include Bulgarian President Rumen Georgiev Radev, Portuguese Finance Minister Joaquim Miranda Sarmento, and OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann.

The Forum is further bolstered by the involvement of over 20 sitting ministers from around the world and contributions from 30 top think tanks and international institutions — among them the OECD, the World Bank, the European Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and NATO.

A strong contingent from Greece’s political and institutional leadership is also present, with the President of the Hellenic Republic and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis attending. The opposition is equally represented, including the leaders of PASOK-KINAL and SYRIZA.

From the international sphere, the Forum welcomes a number of influential figures, such as Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences and LSE Regius Professor Christopher Pissarides; Albert Bourla, Chairman and CEO of Pfizer; Robert D. Kaplan, who holds the Robert Strausz-Hupé Chair in Geopolitics at the Foreign Policy Research Institute; and Martin Wolf, Chief Economics Commentator for the Financial Times.

The event has attracted more than 300 journalists and over 40 international media outlets, underscoring its growing influence and global visibility.
