If you want to catch some of the premieres of the vaunted Thessaloniki Film Festival but you can’t make it to the seaside city or to the screenings– fret not. All the films are also available online to be screened from the comfort of your home!
Just sign up on the festival’s platform, grab a ticket, and you’re ready to roll! Tickets go on sale starting Tuesday.
The festival hosts screenings of films with audio description for the Blind and the Visually Impaired, and with subtitles for the Deaf or Hard of Hearing both in the physical and the online screenings.
Key Info for Watching the 65th Thessaloniki Film Festival Online:
- Tickets available: 29/10/2024 at 10:00 to 10/11/2024 at 23:59.
- Price: €4 (Note: Tickets are non-refundable and can’t be changed).
- Online screenings available until 11/11/2024 at 23:59.
Heads Up: You can only watch from Greece, and only on computers with Windows or MacOS.
How to Catch the Films:
- Sign Up: Create an account on the festival website with your name, email, and password.
- Find Your Film: Browse or search for the movie you want to see.
- Purchase a Ticket: Click on the film, see the €4 price, and enter your payment info. You’ll get a confirmation email.
- Watch Day: You can buy tickets ahead of time, but you can only watch the film on the day it’s shown online. Films go live at 10:00 a.m.
- Press “Play!” Once you start, you have 24 hours to finish watching. If you don’t complete it in time, your ticket will expire.
