Friday, February 7 at 8:30pm | Harris Lambrakis Quartet: “The Art of Humble Materials and Music”

The B&E Goulandris Foundation continues its Jazz at the Museum series with the Harris Lambrakis Quartet, a group that masterfully blends modal jazz, Greek traditional elements, and Eastern Mediterranean influences with free improvisation.
Inspired by the Foundation’s ongoing exhibition Nakis Panayotidis – Shut Your Eyes and See, the quartet explores the parallels between jazz and Arte Povera—the art movement that values simplicity and raw materials.
Founded in 2006, the Harris Lambrakis Quartet has graced festivals in Greece and beyond, releasing three critically acclaimed albums: Thea (2010), Meteora (2012), and Lafina (2023). Their latest performance promises an evening of deeply expressive and boundary-pushing jazz.
