‘My Cuba’ Photo Exhibition
Blank Wall Gallery invites us to embark on a visual journey to Cuba through its photographic exhibition titled My Cuba featuring shots from various locations of the country. The photographs showcased at the exhibition were captured during a photography workshop in Cuba, organized by the photography group “Diadromes” (in Greek: “Routes”). The exhibition offers free admission and can be visited from April 12 to April 17 during the gallery’s opening hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30pm to 9:30pm and Saturday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm.
Athens Bike Festival Powered by ΔΕΗ
The Old OSY Depot transforms this week in a space featuring everything about the world of bikes. After hosting the first conference on cycling tourism today, Athens Bike Festival powered by ΔΕΗ celebrates its 10th edition with this year’s event taking place during April 12-14. Attendees can explore a variety of bike models available for test rides, discover kiosks offering bike accessories, admire vintage bikes on display, enjoy trial bike shows, experience a “spin art” show and cheer on the “Walker Race” designed for the youngest of visitors. Additionally a designated area will be available where young children can conquer their fear of cycling and receive cycling education. Finally, the festival will host engaging discussions led by bike mechanics, nutritionists and coaches among others.

FokiaNou Art Space: “Collage Remix 3”, group exhibition
FokiaNou Art Space celebrates the art of Collage by hosting the exhibition Collage Remix 3, following the success of the exhibitions held in 2022 and 2023. This edition puts Collage in the spotlight, with sixteen artists utilizing various media (paper, magazines, objects, drawing, and painting) to create thought-provoking juxtapositions and evoke multiple perspectives. FokiaNou art space, nestled in the heart of Athens within the intimacy of a small apartment, fosters collaborative initiatives and nurtures the local art community. The exhibition is open for viewing Thursday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will run until April 27.
Slow Art Day 2024 at Goulandris Foundation
The Basil and Elise Goulandris Foundation in Pangrati is the first museum in Athens to participate in the international Slow Art Day celebrated this Saturday, April 13, joining museums, galleries, cities, churches, sculpture parks, and cities around the world in this initiative. In alignment with the event’s mission, to promote the importance and joy of slowly discovering a work of art, Goulandris Foundation invites visitors to slow down and savor a powerful experience. Specifically, the B&E Foundation has carefully selected four works from its permanent collection for guests to contemplate using instructions on the slow art technique provided upon arrival.
