A teaser for renowned Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos’ new movie Kinds of Kindness has been released by Searchlight Pictures.
The film, which is eight on Lanthimos’ repertory, was shot in New Orleans in the fall of 2022. It was co-written by Efthymis Filippou and edited by Yorgos Mavropsaridis.
The plot follows three stories; one of a man trying to regain control of his life, of a policeman worried because his wife is acting like a different person, and, lastly, of a determined woman searching for a person with special abilities.
Kinds of Kindness reunites Academy Award winner Emma Stone with her Poor Things co-stars, Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley, as well as with actor Joe Alwyn from The Favourite. Others on the cast list include Jesse Plemons, Hong Chau, and Hunter Schafer.
According to IndieWire, the film will premiere worldwide at the Immersive Competition of the 77th Cannes Film Festival before its theatrical release on June 21.
It will be screened in Greek cinemas on May 30 by Feelgood.
