According to the organizers, the short concerts aim to highlight sacred music’s contributions to the development of Western culture.

The musical events will continue on Monday April 29, which is Holy Monday, as part of the second annual Sacred Music Festival at the iconic Acropolis Museum. The festival is organized by the Greek Ministry of Culture, the Greek National Opera (GNO), and Eurolife FFH under the direction of the composer Giorgos Koumentakis, the GNO’s artistic director.
