The Italian cinema icon, Monica Bellucci, will attend the Thessaloniki International Film Festival for two days, on November 8 and 9. During her visit, the acclaimed actress will be honored with the Festival’s Golden Alexander award and will take part in two screenings at the 64th edition of the TIFF.
On November 8, Bellucci is scheduled to introduce the film Maria Callas: Letters and Memories at the Olympion cinema. Tom Wolf & Yannis Dimolitsas’ film is being screened as part of Maria Callas Year, a tribute to mark the centenary of the soprano’s birth.
The renowned star will also be present at a second screening, this time of Malèna (2000), one of the films that made her name, on 9 November at the ‘’Olympion’’.
