Knox Goes Away

In the dual role of director and protagonist, Michael Keaton embodies John Knox, a contract killer facing a diagnosis of the Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease, a rapidly progressing form of dementia. Faced with limited lifetime due to his illness, Knox seeks, to redeem himself by reconciling with his estranged adult son who desperately needs his father’s assistance. As he grapples both his deteriorating mental state and the pursuit of authorities, Knox seeks to make amends before it’s too late.

The Settlers/ Los Colonos

Awarded with the FIPRESCI prize at the 76th Cannes Film Festival, Felipe Galvez’s film centers on the Selk’nam genocide at the core of a ravishing western. Set in the southernmost tip of the Americas, “Tierra del Fuego” follows three men—Segundo, a mestizo Chilean; MacLennan, a former British army officer; and Bill, an American mercenary—as they embark on a horseback expedition to demarcate and secure lands allocated by the State to José Menéndez. What initially appears as an administrative task quickly escalates into a brutal pursuit of the ‘Onas,’ the indigenous people of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago.
