Lanthimos’ ‘Poor Things’ Wins 4 Oscars – ‘Oppenheimer’ Dominates with 7 Oscars

Box Office hit "Barbie" claimed only one Oscar

Yorgos Lanthimos’s “Poor Things” picked up 4 Oscars out of the eleven nominations at the 96th Academy Awards in Los Angeles last night including Emma Stone for Best Actress, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design.

Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” dominated the night taking home 7 Oscars including heavy-hitting categories such as Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor in a Leading Role, and Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

“Barbie,” last year’s biggest box-office hit with more than $1.4 billion in ticket sales, won just one award: best song (sorry, Ken) for Billie Eilish and Finneas’ “What Was I Made For?”

The Ukrainian film “20 Days in Mariupol”, which was shot inside the besieged port city during the assault by Russian forces, won the Best Documentary Oscar.
