The Hellenic American Union is launching into the new year with a free screening of the romantic mystery Charade this Tuesday, January 14 at 7:15pm at the Hellenic American Union (HAU).
Charade’s Regina Lampert (Audrey Hepburn) is on a mission to be reunited with her husband in Paris, only to uncover a morbid reality. As she embarks on a suspenseful journey to discover the truth about her husband and the criminals pursuing him, she befriends charming Peter Joshua (Cary Grant), whose dependability is questionable.
This 1960’s favorite, filmed in Paris, has been called been called “the best Hitchcock movie Hitchcock never made”. Charade has been acclaimed on several different fronts—not only did it receive an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song, but it was also recognized by the Library of Congress in 2022 as “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”
The event offers free admission for all and it will be held in the venue theater of HAU.
