This April, Fired Up, Athens Ceramic Fair, is back for its much-anticipated spring edition, bringing vibrant creativity to the beloved Kypseli Municipal Market. On April 12 and 13, more than 50 ceramic artists from across Greece will gather for the sixth consecutive time, showcasing a curated selection of their work in an event that has become a fixture for ceramic art lovers.
Whether you’re a dedicated collector or a curious newcomer, Fired Up offers a unique opportunity to explore the ever-evolving world of Greek ceramics. Visitors will be able to meet both emerging and established artists, dive into their creative processes, and discover the stories behind each handmade piece.
The weekend will also feature live demonstrations:
Saturday, April 12: Master potter Kostas Galanis (@galanis_pottery_ceramics) will present a live wheel-throwing session using both front-facing and traditional sidewheels.
Sunday, April 13: Ceramicist Dimitra Safiolea (@rakuart.gr) will lead a Raku firing demonstration, offering a rare glimpse into this dramatic and ancient technique.
More than just a marketplace, Fired Up aims to foster a lasting connection between the public and the ceramic community, turning Kypseli’s market into a meeting point for creativity and dialogue.
