Βενιζέλος», η επιβατική κίνηση του αεροδρομίου της Αθήνας κατά τη διάρκεια του Μαΐου ανήλθε σε 2.538.086 επιβάτες, αυξημένη κατά 23,4% σε σύγκριση με το 2022, (περίοδο κατά την οποία εξακολουθούσαν οι επιπτώσεις της πανδημίας COVID-19 στο αεροπορικό ταξίδι), αλλά και αυξημένη κατά 11,1% σε σχέση με το προπανδημικό έτος 2019. Τόσο η εγχώρια όσο και η διεθνής επιβατική κίνηση ξεπέρασαν τα επίπεδα του 2022, κατά 20,6% και 24,8%, αντίστοιχα. Σε σύγκριση με το 2019, τόσο οι επιβάτες εσωτερικού όσο και οι διεθνείς επιβάτες παρουσίασαν άνοδο κατά 15,6% και 9,1%, αντίστοιχα. Συνολικά, κατά τους πρώτους πέντε μήνες του έτους, η επιβατική κίνηση του αεροδρομίου ανήλθε σε 9,15 εκατ., αυξημένη κατά 39,9% σε σύγκριση με το 2022, αλλά και κατά 5,9% σε σύγκριση με το 2019. The Ministry of Culture has announced adjustments to the operating hours of the Archaeological Site of the Acropolis due to anticipated high temperatures exceeding 40°C. Effective immediately, the site will be closed from noon to 5 pm on Wednesday.
“The Archaeological Site of the Acropolis will be closed from 12 noon to 5 pm due to the forecast of high temperatures,” stated the Ministry of Culture, echoing earlier announcements by the Ephorate of Antiquities of the City of Athens and the Organization for the Management and Development of Cultural Resources.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has introduced emergency measures to protect private sector workers from heat stress during the ongoing heat wave.
Employees engaged in manual labor outdoors, such as technical and construction work, construction sites, and delivery services, must cease operations between noon and 5 pm when temperatures reach or exceed 40°C. These measures come in response to warnings from the National Meteorological Service.
