The 1st Olympus Adrenaline & Nature Festival aiming to introduce the wider region of Pieria in Central Macedonia, Greece, to the world, kicks off on May 25 with two days full of sports, culture, crafts, traditions, and cuisine.
Festival events are free and open to everyone. Activities include learning first aid, bee-keeping and pottery workshops, bird watching, sea sports, 4×4 off road driving, fishing tours, electric bike rides, traditional Greek pie making, how to pack a back pack, sign posting mountain trails, learning about the dangers of hiking, yoga and pilates sessions, updates on the Olympus 12 Refuge trails, canyoning, kid’s activities, and honey tastings.
Local businesses and tourism professionals will be participating in the events, showcasing Pieria’s and Litochoro’s outdoor activities, traditions, crafts and traditional specialties.
On the sidelines of the two-day event which aims to evolve into an annual celebration of nature and culture, local professionals will be holding B2B meetings with travel and tourism stakeholders interested in learning more about Pieria’s tourism offerings.
The 1st Olympus Adrenaline & Nature Festival is organized by the Regional Unit of Pieria with the support of the Pieria Organization for Tourism Development and Promotion (POTAP) under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).
