Greece’s weather service issued an extraordinary bulletin warning of the low barometric front.

Temperatures are forecast to drop by 8C to 10C, with snowfall expected in the mountainous regions of the north and central mainland. Snow may also fall in the lowlands overnight between Saturday and Sunday in north-central Greece. Snow is forecast in the mountainous regions of southern Greece on Sunday morning, including on peaks in the Peloponnese, large Evia Island and even as far south as Crete.
Lighter snowfall is expected on Monday in the same regions.

Very rough seas are forecast for the Aegean, reaching as high as 9 on the Beaufort scale, with heavy rains and storms along the coastlines.
