This week in Greece will be characterized by fair and dry weather, expected to last through the upcoming holiday weekend, according to meteorologists at MEGA TV.

Thanks to a rare high-pressure system, temperatures will slightly rise to reach seasonal norms, with winds blowing in westerly and southwesterly directions.

Weather for Monday, October 21

Today’s weather will be mostly clear, with some local clouds in the west and Crete, and temporarily in the eastern mainland, the Sporades, Evia, and the Cyclades, according to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY).

In western Greece, winds will blow from the east at 3 to 5 Beaufort, while eastern Greece will experience northerly to northeasterly winds at 4 to 6 Beaufort, locally reaching 7 or even 8 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea.

Temperatures will range from 18 to 23 degrees Celsius, and locally from 25 to 26 degrees Celsius in western Greece, the Dodecanese, and southern Crete.

Attica

The weather will be generally clear with northerly winds at 4 to 6 Beaufort and temperatures between 13 and 22 degrees Celsius.

Thessaloniki

The city will also enjoy clear skies, with a few passing clouds in the morning. Winds will be variable, at 3 to 4 Beaufort, with temperatures ranging from 10 to 21 degrees Celsius.
