The unseasonably balmy weather throughout Greece this past week is forecast to end on Monday, with heavy rains and thunderstorms beginning as of Sunday afternoon from the northwest.
Rough seas from 7 to 8 on the Beaufort scale are forecast, with in some instances reaching 9 on the Beaufort scale, meaning a possible interruption in certain ferry boat routes.
Snowfall is possible in the mountainous regions on the mainland.
Temperatures, however, are expected to remain at higher-than-usual levels for February, hovering from 10 to 19C and 6 to 15C in the northern city of Thessaloniki.
Both cities will see rain and thunderstorms.
