Greece is experiencing a transitional spring day with a mix of clouds, scattered rainfall, and pockets of sunshine, as a new weather pattern moves across the country. While the skies remain generally clear in many western areas, the east is seeing more unsettled conditions, with localized rains and even isolated thunderstorms expected—particularly through the afternoon.

Attica and Thessaloniki are both expecting occasional clouds and brief showers through the afternoon, clearing into the evening. Attica will peak around 20°C, while Thessaloniki stays slightly cooler at 19°C.

In Macedonia and Thrace, the day will start cloudy with local rain and isolated storms, especially in eastern parts. However, a gradual clearing trend is expected from the west by late afternoon. Temperatures are mild, ranging from 7°C to 20°C, slightly cooler in the mountainous areas of western Macedonia.

Moving west, the Ionian Islands, Epirus, and western mainland will enjoy relatively calm weather, with only temporary cloud buildups in the afternoon that may lead to light showers over the mountains. Highs are expected to reach 21°C, though interior Epirus will stay a few degrees cooler.

Over in Eastern Sterea, Evia, and the eastern Peloponnese, skies will cloud over with brief periods of rain or isolated storms. Winds are shifting from west-southwest to north, peaking at 6 Beaufort in some coastal areas.

The Cyclades and Crete are seeing a similar pattern, with increasing clouds and localized rain—mainly in Crete. Winds here are also strengthening from the north through the afternoon, reaching up to 6 Beaufort in places. Daytime highs will hover around 19°C.

Across the Eastern Aegean and Dodecanese, rain and isolated storms are on the radar, especially in the north initially, then spreading southward. Temperatures range from 11°C to 18°C, slightly cooler in the north.

So, keep an umbrella handy today—just in case—but look forward to brighter skies on the horizon!
