A message via the emergency number 112 was sent to the residents of Aitoloakarnania in western mainland Greece, Ilia and Achaia prefectures in the northwest Peloponnese region and the Ionian Islands in the western side of the country, warning them of storms and strong winds from Sat evening until Sun afternoon in their area and calling them to limit their movements during the phenomena.
By Sunday morning, the remaining areas of the country, primarily the western, northern parts, and the islands of the Eastern Aegean, will be affected. Simultaneously, southerly winds at sea will intensify, reaching speeds of 7-8, potentially with gusts up to 9 on the Beaufort scale.
