Forecast Weather: Showers in Half of Greece in First Week of July

Conversely, the forecast for the rest of the month is little rain and near record-high temperatures

Unstable weather, punctuated by thunderstorms and much-needed rainfall in northern and central Greece as well as over half the Aegean, is what Forecast Weather projects for the first six days of July in Greece.

In its monthly forecast, the service “patted itself on the back” for its forecast for the previous month, June, saying it was “very accurate”.

Beyond the first week, the service said little rainfall is forecast for the rest of the month, with most areas in the east Mediterranean country falling short of the average monthly level of precipitation. Additionally, July 2024 is forecast to be a very hot month, near record high temperatures, i.e. two to four degrees Celsius higher than normal levels.

The previous month, according to meteo.gr, was the hottest June since a new network of weather stations were inaugurated in 2010.
