4.7 Magnitude Earthquake near Agrinio, Greece

A strong earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale occurred on Saturday afternoon. Its epicenter was located in Thermos, 19km outside of Agrinio .

 The earthquake tremor was felt in the surrounding area and according to testimonies it had a long duration. The Geodynamic Institute states that it had a very shallow focal depth of 18 kilometres.

It was followed by four other aftershocks with ratings of 2.0, 1.8, 2.6, 1.7, and 1.6 on the Richter scale.
