An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale occurred off the coast of Rhodes a short while ago.
The focal depth is situated at 35.1km, with the seismic event recorded east-southeast of the island, according to the Geodynamic Seismological Institute.
The initial assessment of the tremor was at 3.9 Richter, with the Geodynamic Institute subsequently revising the seismic activity upwards in the maritime region.
